Number 18 was home to Hans Christian Anderson.
Built in the 17th Century as a gateway to the sea it quickly developed an infamous reputation
for the natural triumvirate of "beer, sailors and prostitutes"

As larger ocean going ships were built Nyhavn fell into disuse.
In 1977 it was reinvigorated as a Veteran Ship and Museum Harbor.

Carefully coated with Modge Podge (available at most hobby or Arts & Crafts stores)
it is then suitable for framing.
