Offered is a distinctive and collectible 550 piece jig saw puzzle

Visions of Valor

Charged with creating an unbreakable code,
a group of 6 Native American "Code Talkers",
working around the clock sent and received over 800 meassages
without error during the first 2 days of the battle of Iwo Jima.
Messages that, in Japanese hands, would have affected the battle.

According to Major Howard Conner, a signal officer for the 5th Marine Division:
"Were it not for the Navajos, the Marines would never have taken Iwo Jima."

And then, despite their significant contribution to victory, the U.S. Government swore them to secrecy for decades
preventing them from even acknowledging their accomplishments.

From an original artwork by David Behrens

David Behrens challenges his audience with stirring concepts that are
both thoughtfully rendered and fearlessly honest, giving a silent voice to the past.
He believes, “As humans we are all moved by stories, and my greatest hope is that
my paintings achieve what a good story does, only not with words but with brushstrokes."

And then when the puzzle is done, see if you can figure out what the names mean.
Here's a few to get you started:

DA-HE-TIH-HI means HUMMING BIRD
BESH-LO means IRON FISH
CA-LO means SHARK
JAY-SHO means BUZZARD
LO-TSO means WHALE

Now, what did they refer to?

"Fun" and "Learning"
do not have to be mutually exclusive.

Once completed, the puzzle measures 18" x 24".
Carefully coated with Modge Podge (available at most hobby or Arts & Crafts stores)
it is then suitable for framing.

Each puzzle is brand new, has never been used and is still in the factory sealed box.
