Offered is a collection of Solid Wood Key Rings in a variety of themes and techniques.

It is impossible to know which species of wood are used for each design.
If you insist, however, we can tell you that they are all a sub-species of the Latin classification of
Antiquus Mortuus Arboretus

No two pieces of wood are exactly alike.
The artisans have done a good job of maintaining consistency from one piece to the next.
However, you may notice some slight variations in color or grain pattern.
That is the nature of real wood.

Clicking on each individual picture will open a detail page with more information on that item.
If you like what you see, under the description will be a Buy Me link.
Each page contains a "Return" link to this page.

All of the key rings on this page include
Free Shipping by U S Post Office First Class Mail to anywhere in the world.

This first group is done in a techinque called

Intarsia

Intarsia is a woodworking technique where many different species of wood
are cut and shaped into three dimensional pieces and then glued together to form a design.
The finished sculpture is then glued to a solid piece of backer wood for additional strength.
The backer piece is cut in the shape of the overall design.

The woods are selected for their natural color to avoid the use of dyes or stains.

The techinque is similar to Marquetry or Inlaid work with the exception that
Marquetry and Inlays are flat and smooth, as in a table top or flooring.
Intarsia is a deeply dimensional sculpture of varying thicknesses.

You know when the "Bobbies" are chasing the bad guy and blowing their whistles?
That steady somewhat high pitched note is the sound that these make.

It does attract attention.
